Dear Indiana Trail Rider Members,
Ihope everyone had a safe Thanksgiving with family and friends. We had a wonderful turnout at Brown County for the cleanup. The trails were cleaned and Chris Eickleberry headed up our “Adopt a Road” project along highway 135. The new section of Trail 7 from the top of B to the first creek crossing was finished and ridden quite extensively while we were working on it Saturday morning thanks to the 19 workers with a total of 64 hours Saturday morning. It is now much more eco friendly and the erosion from the fall line, braided trails have been eliminated. The Jr. ITRA trail members rehabbed the old trail by brushing it in. Great job overall in the park.
Now, to the heart of this message!
We need members to run for director and officer positions. Being an officer or director is not that difficult or time expensive. We all try to carry our share of responsibilities which helps reduce the amount of work each officer/director has.
Officer positions are a 1 year term while the director positions are 3 year terms.
We have 4 Board meetings per year usually during a scheduled work event so it greatly reduces your travel time.
If you would like to help direct the Indiana Trail Riders and help keep our beautiful trails please consider running for a position.
Send me your bio by next week. Your bio only needs to be two paragraphs letting us know something about yourself and your interests. Please pass the word along to members who may not have email addresses.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.
Happy Trails,
Yvette Anderson Rollins, Director
Indiana Trail Riders Association, Inc.
