What makes for a successful work day? Hard working ITRA members with a sense of humor and great food.
Instead of running our horses in the Kentucky Derby, we opted to take our horses out to pick up trash in Yellowwood State Forest (less stress on the horse and a whole lot cheaper). The weather forecast was ominous. Of course, the forecasters were wrong, once again. That scared a lot of people off but not Tip and Georgia Ballinger, Russ Berna and Donna Burkhart. We picked up 5 bags of trash, cleaned up and weed-eated horse camp. We were able to clean most of the trails that weekend.
The weather cooperated with us just fine. We had a great time and enjoyed a slammin’ pitch in dinner at the end of our day. The ITRA provided the pork chops, which were marinated by Nanci’s secret recipe for two days and were professionally cooked over an open pit-fire by Chris. These chops were awesome.
