National Trails Day – Owen Putnam State Forest
What a beautiful day we had in OP. Property Manager, Bill Gallogly, arrived early to visit for a few minutes before the work day started. He came loaded with supplies to extend hitch rails. Eleven volunteers built hitch rail extensions and cleaned up the campground area in the morning. We had a pitch in lunch of BBQ and all the wonderful food everyone brought. In the afternoon 5 volunteers rode out to clear trees off the trails and put in a temporary reroute due to a washed out culvert with a very dangerous crossing. A lot was accomplished and a good time was had by all.
